Tips of verifying the accuracy (or inaccuracy) of supposed letters from OC's, notifying you of your account being sold to a JDB?

While in the process of requesting validation on a few questionable JDB accounts, some of the info being provided to me by the collection agencies appear rather "off", and I'm trying to see how I can verify with the original creditors that such a letter was sent by them, and when.

Specifically, there are two letters that I'm questioning, one is from Midland, and the other is from Portfolio Recovery, with the OC's being a Synchrony charge account and a Capital One credit card.
The letters provided to me have several oddities about them; the letter Capital One supposedly sent me has a handful of words that are randomly in Spanish, instead of English (i.e., the month "June" is written as "Junio"), and the date of the letter is over 2 years since my last activity with that account.

The letter supposedly from Synchrony references a mailing address I have never had associated with that Synchrony account, and one that I have not lived at in 10+ years, as well as a former last name of mine that has not legally been my name, nor used on any accounts, in over 13 years, and the overall appearance of the letter looks like it was typed quickly on a word processor and has no logos, font variations, fine print, or any other items that would normally be on something mailed of this nature.

I've tried contacting the original creditors directly to verify this, but they havent been responding to my inquiries.

Thank you for any insight on this topic, I appreciate it.
