I have a charge off for carolina finance for 3520. My credit report shows no open collections so im guessing the are waiting to send it to collections. It was charge off in may 2012 with a date of last payment being December 2011. Experian says that its scheduled to fall off September 2018. Im in Ga now the written contract took place in NC i know NC SOL is 3 years and Ga SOL is 6 years. I really want this off my credit report but really dont want to contact the company because im scared the will file suit. But again I dont want to wait 2 years and want this off. What steps should I take? Any ideas?
