In 2012, thanks to the awesome help of these forums and hours and hours of research, the JDB lawsuit against me was found in my favor and dismissed with prejudice. Recently, I was looking at the court records online and noticed last summer...almost 3 years after the dismissal...there was a motion to dismiss with proposed order, and then a few days later a new judge/same court ordered a motion to dismiss without prejudice...which I never received. Maybe because I've moved since then.
Anyway...
Now, L**V (of course...it had to be them, right?) has hired a new firm to try to collect on this same debt. Isn't that kind of ballsy since they lost the lawsuit against me?
The new agency was kind enough to put a disclaimer on the bottom that basically states that because of the age of the debts, I will not be sued or report to a credit reporting agency.
What's the best way to move forward since they seem determined to resurrect what I thought was a dead issue?
