I am being sued by Kohn Law(in Wisconsin) by one of their attorneys located in Illinois where I live. So I've been going through negotiations with their collections agents for nearly a month at long last we agreed (over the phone with the attorney in question) to a set monthly amount to dismiss the case. So I then called back to set up the payment plan after speaking with the attorney directly and when I did I was told they do NOT accept debit cards or credit cards and they need my bank account # and routing number and THEN after words they will send me the agreed dismissal order. I've never been in collections before but since I was served I've been researching the process and the one thing almost every single person i've asked about this has told me is to not submit ANY payment(s) until I get something in writing I also reached out to the attorney directly who promptly declined the call.
