HELP!!!! I moved 6 months ago and I when I closed out my account with ConEd they told me that I would recieve the final bill via mail. I moved and they never sent me the final bill via email or by mail. As a result of time passing I totally forgot about it. I got an alert this morning that Collections agency reported $380 for ConEd. So I logged into to ConEd and suprisingly I was able to still access my account and pay the bill.
1. Collection Agency reported the amount wrong. It is wrong by a few cents. Is that enough to dispute?
2. I have a reciept that that the bill was paid does this mean that the ConEd still has the account and can they have it removed off of my credit?
3. Should I call the Collection Agency or Con-Ed? What are my next steps?
