What looks like collectors have started calling multiple times a day. The phone numbers are close to my own, but no Caller ID. Last week Caller ID popped up with Radius Global and Southwest Credit. I don't pick up unknown numbers and they don't leave a message.
Had a Chap 13 in 2010 that was discharged in 2014. I paid every creditor back 100% except for two that never responded to the trustee. They were included in the filing but with zero principal or payments. I also had two small medical collections from 2011 that were not included in the Chap 13 but they are time-barred. I went Chap 13 because I had a house at that time. I sold it in 2015 after discharge and the mortgage was fully paid.
I've had absolutely no debt since and no collections calls. My credit accounts at the big three bureaus have been frozen for years. I checked them yesterday - no inquiries. Nothing untoward - everything negative dropped off years ago.
So - what do you think is going on? It seems like more than just Radius and Southwest have been calling. I've been reading up on Fair Debt and how to deal with collectors, but am puzzled as to why this is happening now.
