I spoke to a local lawyer about my case and they were very interested because Discover has called me over 200 times since I sent them a Cease and Desist. They called 3 times a day almost every day. They've called a whopping 1200 times since August of 2015 for two accounts allegedly owed! The thing that makes me hesitate is they sued me in county court (even though I opted for arbitration in my DV letter. I filed a Motion to Compel Arbitration and it was granted. I now must initiate arbitration by the end of the month. I was hoping to use the violation to get them to drop the arbitration case. But if they win I guess the award will exceed the $5300 they say I owe. But I'm guessing I can't use those violations in arbitration if these lawyers get involved.
