Two to three years ago I had my phone stolen by a jealous ex boyfriend and he flung it into someones yard. I reported it stolen, told T mobile I no longer had the phone and to put a pause on my service. Sure enough I'm getting charges for downloaded music, games, among other charges on this phone I DO NOT HAVE. I tried talking to T mobile about it, they still weren't taking off the charges, so me being young and ignorant ignored the bills and eventually got sent to collections. It's been a long time since I tried doing anything about this bill, and when I tried calling T mobile about this they told me my case had been handed over to Enhanced Recovery. I've done a bit of research and reading about this collection agency and have heard all bad news about them, so before I even try and call them and resolve anything I really need some straight forward advice. I have no idea what I'm doing except I read that I can settle for an amount significantly less then what I originally owed, and not to pay any courtesy fees. Some really blunt advice with no abbreviations would be great, please. I say this because I've read a lot of forum posts here to try and self help and I am incredibly lost not knowing what anything means.
Sincerely, completely ignorant
